WIF: Workforce Innovation Fund Training

The WIF Training includes information from statewide workforce services partners described by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). High level program and service information will be shared regarding programs and services offered through the Kansas workforce system (KANSASWORKS), Unemployment Insurance, Vocational Rehabilitation, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Adult Education and Family Literacy, the Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker Program (MSFW), and Independent Living. This training is intended to equip staff with the knowledge to work with partner agencies in order to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs.
Upon completion of the course, participants will have acquired working knowledge of program and services provided to customers through partnering agencies.
Purpose: To equip staff with the ability to work with partner agencies in order to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs.
Intended Outcome: Upon completion of the course, participant will have acquired working knowledge of program and services provided to customers through partnering agencies.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Explain programs/services to customers
- Identify contacts in your area for each program
- Identify where to find more information about the other programs
- Describe ways to coordinate programs and services based on individual strengths and needs for collaborative case management
Trainings will begin promptly at the schedule time.
Light snacks and beverages will be available and lunch will be provided. If you have any dietary requirements, please note this during registration or contact the training organizer. Feel free to bring your own drinks or snacks. Please be mindful of picking up after yourself.
Due to the various locations and facilities where training events will be hosted, dressing in layers is suggested.
Use of electronic devices will be prohibited during the training itself; you will be asked to place the settings on vibrate and check your devices only during break. We understand this is not always easy, however, it does result in the best learning environment for a diverse group of learning styles.

Certificate of Completion
Staff completing the entire training and the post-assessment will be awarded a certificate of completion.
