Kansas Leadership Summit

Heartland Preparedness Center – Wichita, KS

February 1-2, 2017

“Defining Success in a Changing Environment”

This 2-day summit is a special invitation only event for members of the seven (7) regional councils and appointed members of the Senior Advisory Committee.  The two days will cover various topics, to include some history of how/why the Regional Council Coordinating Committee (RCCC) / Senior Advisory Committee (SAC) were formed; review of the current RCCC Strategic Plan and define its value; recognize accomplishments made over previous years; review and discuss collected data on core capability priorities and the relationship to the 2016 State Preparedness Report.  The primary outcome of the summit is to define a statewide strategy for future investment priorities.

What to Bring:

Knowledge of DHS core capabilities and any local, regional and statewide capability needs / gaps.

Lunch will be provided on site both days (other meals – not provided)

Region and state level funds have been identified to support any lodging needs for January 18, 2017 of participants travelling from outside a 50 mile radius of the Heartland Preparedness Center.  All regional level participants need to work through their fiscal agents to request and secure lodging.  All state level participants need to request lodging through KDEM Contact Isabel Herrera, maria.i.herrera13.nfg@mail.mil or (785) 646-1412.
